Windmill Space Heater - Test

FAQs

• Is The Windmill Space Heater safe?

Yes — safety is where we spent the most time. The Windmill Space Heater has 8 safety features, compared to the 3–4 on typical heaters: overheat and tip-over protection, Child Lock, the SafeFuse™ plug, plugged-in warning light, 20-hour auto shutoff, V0 flame retardant internals, and app-free operation so it can't turn on by accident. Like any space heater, it still needs to be used responsibly — flat surface, clear of anything flammable with proper clearance, plugged directly into the wall, and never left running unattended.

• What makes it better than others?

Three main things: noise, safety, and design. It runs as low as 20 dB (most heaters start around 34 dB). It has 8 safety features instead of the usual 3–4. And it's designed to be left out in your home — compact shape, auto-dimming display, and interchangeable color handles.

• Why doesn’t it connect to the Windmill Air app?

On purpose. Smart heaters can be switched on remotely — including by accident — and that's led to real recalls. A heater should only turn on when you're there to turn it on. So we skipped the app and put that effort into intuitive onboard controls and the remote instead.
